Cuticles are the bottom part of finger or toe nail. It is a layer of hard skin at the base of a nail on a finger or toe. It is essential to treat cuticles before going in for manicure. After it has properly penetrated the skin is pushed back. This part is then rubbed with a soft moist towel moving it in the upward direction. Slowly the dead skin will be removed and collected in the towel.

The amount you want to spend depends upon your pocket size. Once dead skin or hangnails have been removed you have to apply and massage a conditioner. A number of massagers are available in the stores. Buy one apply and massage. Remember to leave it on the nails part as such, do not wash the hands. As a home remedy you may apply bee wax or tea wood oil etc. These will be equally effective.
