Home Remedies For Yeast Infection
Yeast infection happen to women which is caused by a fungus called Candida alb cans. The common symptoms of this are itching, burning, and thick cottage cheese like discharge.

Women who have faced the infection in the past are well versed with the symptoms and choose to cure it themselves without going to the doctors. There are many common home remedies tried by many women. These remedies don’t guarantee 100% cure. For some it works while others it may not. The onus lies on the infected women to decide to take risk or not.
The home remedies are
- Wearing loose undergarments: This would let the oxygen flow in easily and the yeast would be snuffed out. In fact if possible wearing undergarments could be avoided and make the place airy as this would have a soothing effect.
- Avoid intake of alcohol, sugar and yeast. The yeast would automatically vanish due to lack of food.
- Cranberry juice which is unsweetened in diluted from should be included in the daily diet as it would increase the PH level of the vaginal cavity and help the body to flush out the yeast.
- Yogurt treatment: A tampon could be insert in the vagina with a little of yogurt in it to relief from itches and burns. For soothing effect, the tampon could be freezed before inserting. Lying on the back is the best posture to insert the tampon.
- One of the popular treatments is to dip the tampon in yoghurt and place it on the infected area for over an hour. This would replace the unhealthy bacteria with the good ones.
- Tea tree oil: Firstly the tip of the tampon should be lubricated with a lubricant and then tea tree oil should be applied to it and the tampon should be placed on the infected area. This works just like yoghurt.
- Buttermilk: Drinking couple of glasses of buttermilk everyday would help to replace the unhealthy bacteria with the healthy ones.
