Essential Makeup Tools Brushes
Every woman wants to look beautiful and tries on the various beauty products. But many don’t have the idea of the best application tools for each aspect of the make up like eyes, lips, cheeks etc. Here is a list of perfect tools for applying makeup on the face.
Powder Brush: The powder spreads evenly only if the brush is in round dome shape with full of bristles. The brush should not taper in the head.
Blush Brush: A blush brush is the one with large round tapered brush that are soft and fluffy. Its large and soft bristles make it easy to apply and spread the powder evenly on the face. Care should be taken to purchase soft bristles to avoid splotches and streaks which may be caused by cheaper hard bristles that would not bend and spread enough to make full contact with the face.
Eye Shadow Brush: Eye shadow brushes are convenient to apply only when they are less than ½ inch in width and tapering at both ends. The tapering ends would be useful to blending and applying the shadows on the creases of the eyelids.
Small Angled Brush: A small angled brush is useful for applying eye shadow near the upper and lower eyelash lines. It can be used for applying on the creases too. It should have a tiny head and the bristles should be set an angle which would help to make fine straight, fine lines.
Foundation Sponge: A triangular sponge should be used to applying foundation as opposed to the popular large round one. The narrow, flat ends of the triangles would be useful to apply foundation under the eyes, corners of the nose, on the chin and near the ears. The wider area could be used for the forehead and cheeks. The sponge would absorbs the liquid and prevent in excessive streaking.
Make up brushes last for years and don’t need to be replaced. But however they get dirty and collect germs as they are usually kept in purses, bags or on the counter. Even if they are stored appropriately they collect dirt and oil from the hair and may cause skin breakouts. To avoid this, the brushes should be cleaned with the designated cleaning solutions. The sponges should be replaces every week as they would collect dirt and oil in the pores.
