• Avoid matte foundation as it will melt with perspiration and will give you ugly look. Instead it will be better to go in for primers as they are incredibly light and help hold makeup in place sometimes for the full day.

• During hot weather a lot of oil is produced by oil glands and is reflected on the face triangle comprising of forehead, nose and chin. For those with oily skin moisturiser of any sort should be avoided.

• Some people are under a wrong belief that powder absorbs sweat. Powder flows down with sweat. To remove shine from the oily portion of the face you may dust some powder with the help of a puff. It will absorb oil.

• Use light color lipsticks, dark colors will look odd. Due to perspiration the body begins to smell so mild perfumes should be used. A vast variety of deodorants are available in the market. Choose one with a pleasant natural fragrance.

• Choose light coloured dresses. Always wear cotton dresses and never go in for synthetic dresses. Especially undergarments should not be made of synthetic cloth.

• The clothes should be loose to enable the air to properly circulate around all parts of the body and let it breathe and sweat when needed.

• If there is a lot of variation between day and night temperature, keep a light jacket with you to be put on in the evening when the temperature falls.

• Selection of footwear is also important. If you do not move around much and sit in the office or home, open footwear will do. However, if the nature of work demands moving around a lot then you have to wear shoes. Ensure that the shoes are comfortable and preferably made of cotton cloth.

The key is that simple loose clothes made of natural fibre with soft colors and light make up should be preferred.
